Twenty-five years ago, when the founder of MCEAP, Father Harry Scott, sought volunteers to

help implement his vision, Margie Vitale stood up to help him move the inventory of clothing

to thrift shops to make money for the folks that needed help paying utility bills, rent, or

mortgage payments. She thought she could get behind such a mission. She had grown up in

a family of 12 and lived below poverty. She realized this was her opportunity to give back.

Margie has been serving MCEAP ever since taking on more and more roles, and now has a

permanent seat as COO on the MCEAP Board of Directors.

Support the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program and the To Our House Winter Housing Program

• We will collect peanut butter and jelly, and adult backpacks.

• Donations may be made by checks which should be made out to MCEAP.
